  • NodeFirstUnitarian -- antenna is in hand, tentatively scheduled install date for November 9, will be replacing the Soekris net4826 and ethernet run with a TP-Link EAP225 Outdoor and a dual-band, dual-polarity antenna that looks a little bit like something the LogLady might carry around.

  • NodeStreetRoots -- scheduled to be decommissioned on Thursday, October 24 in the late morning. It went live on December 4, 2012, so nearly a dozen years in operation. We saw about 3000 unique devices connect the last couple years.

  • Numerous MerakiMR24-based nodes were updated: NodeCrowBar, NodeHayduke, NodeMoby, NodeLutz, NodeBergie, NodeBerneis, NodeCommunitecture, NodeLionsEye, NodeMisdemeanor, NodeLuckyLabNW, more soon.

  • By an odd coincidence, Russell ran into the person who got us into NodeStreetRoots at a Metro Hazardous Waste disposal event near Rocky Butte a week or two ago, and she said she had moved to St Johns and would be up for hosting another node, NodeEdie. Russell needs to reconnect with her to work out the details.

• Node notes:

  • NodeFirstUnitarian - Have gear ready to go for replacement. Will schedule for November 9th, unless there is rain.

  • NodeStreetRoots - Russell and Ted will be there at 10am tomorrow to decommission

  • Numerous MerakiMR24 gateways have had new firmware deployed, as well as a couple alixes: NodeFreshPot and NodeArborLodge, 3 more to go, plus other architectures

  • NodeEdie - Previous StreetRoots contact Sarah would like to host a node

  • NodeRerun - Down, open 10-5 Wednesday and Saturday

• People's Digital Safety Fair - shared table PTP, MunicipalBroadbandPDX and EFF. No consumers showed up in the first couple of hour. Russell's talk pulled in almost a dozen people.
  • Met PDX Privacy people.

• Next week's meeting is the monthly at NodeLuckyLabNW. We'll also look at a spot to mount an external AP.
