• Node notes:

  • NodeBeulahLand -- JasonBergstrom and RussellSenior got over to the node on Saturday morning and fixed the ethernet run between the Alix and the SkyPilot SkyGateway on the roof. Pins 4 and 5 (the blue pair, carrying +24V) lacked continuity. No visible damage to the cable. Tried recrimping one of the ends first, with no luck. Ended up using the last of our old spool of cat6 with a couple feet to spare for slack. Back in business. Repair took about 2 hours.

  • NodeEdison -- Wlanparts order had been unceremoniously canceled, with no notice, afaict. Ordered a single NSM2 from Amazon (free 2-day shipping), to assess viability of reflashing in the context of recent firmware-replacement-thwarting behavior. If successful, we will order another NSM2 and an NSM5 for the outdoor part of the node. Still waiting for the upstream to be installed before installing the indoor part. Upstream is currently identified as Stephouse. Target install date is October 26. Charlie would like our gear installed before Oct 20, as he's going to be out of town.

  • NodeWeidler -- have an issue where one of the APs is powered up, but disconnected from ethernet, so people connecting to www.personaltelco.net or VZAHomes might connect to the disconnected AP. Russell stopped by to investigate, it is the AP in their office, temporarily disabled the generic SSIDs to avoid the problem until staff can get into the office and correct the ethernet problem, hopefully tomorrow.

  • NodePioneerSquare -- the clock is still ticking on SRG's move-out. Need to find a replacement host to continue service there.

    • Install NanoStations at floor-level of second floor - 12' ladder should cover

    • Proposed install date of October 14th.

    • RussellSenior - AP in office reconfigured to not broadcast personaltelco.net/vzahomes SSID

    • NanoStation is offline, needs reboot

  • NodeLuckyLab -- No issues observed. If this is an issue with the PoS, contact RussellSenior directly for IT support
